These short, structured sessions are only 20 minutes and can be started, stopped or updated at any time giving busy managers the flexibility they need.
The system quickly and easily guides the manager through a series of 5 key preset questions (and additional probing questions) designed to elicit answers to what the employee likes about working there, why they stay and what will keep them there.
During the course of the conversation, the manager will simply note answers in the boxes provided for each question.
The Stay Plan is an optional (but important) part of the process to create mutual accountability. At the conclusion of the stay interview, the manager and employee will agree on up to 3 specific action items (if necessary).
Tasks will be assigned to both the employee and manager with due dates within 30 days preferably and tracked by the system.
After the stay interview is completed, the manager will determine the likelihood of the employee staying or leaving the organization. This “retention rating” is a simple color coding system based solely on the manager’s personal assessment.
The forecasting data will automatically populate all reports in the system providing clear and detailed turnover risks by employee, manager, department and more.
